After a week of Jamaica Garbage, corruption scandals, more garbage, disgraced douchebag Ex-Senator Shirley Huntley’s slap on the wrist prison sentence, more garbage, disgraced Senator Malcolm A. Smith, more garbage and corruption, I had to reblog one of my favorite new places in Jamaica, “Mubarak Health and Beauty”. I love this place. Please support one of the few black owned businesses in our community of Jamaica.

With the serious garbage problem in Jamaica Queens, it is amazing when you do come across a gem or hidden treasure and then you treasure it since it is so rare. Sometimes you just have to look hard, sometime you have to just go off the beaten track.
This little hidden gem and relatively new shop is Mubarak Health & Beauty, a small but very nicely displayed and great smelling shop selling a nice selection of essential body oils, body cremes plus African soaps, Shea butter, a few hair products, tonics, burning oils and incense. Now you can throw a rock not too far on Jamaica Avenue and hit over 10 big health and beauty shops that just clutter the blocks from Parsons Boulevard to 169th Street and that does not count all of those shops on the side streets as well.
