JAMAICA CATERS TO THE LOWEST COMMON DENOMINATOR, ONE REASON IT WILL NOT GET REVITALIZED.

A paucity of appealing stores and eateries forces many residents to spend their money elsewhere. No shit, who the hell wants to spend money at shit like Dress for Less or shitty 99 Cent stores. Look at all that crap in the photo.

Looking around all of Jamaica, the quality of life, retail stores, food establishments, other businesses, etc, you would think that everyone who lives in the Greater Jamaica Area is all low-class ghetto or low-class immigrants, but that is really not the case. But you sure could not tell by looking around, because it is one low-class ghetto with shitty retail, crappy food establishments, dirty and filthy sidewalks & streets, unclean garbage strewn parks,  pretty much just a whole bunch of shit.

This shit store combines the crap of a 99 cent store, cheap furniture and a beauty and supply store. Might as well keep all the shit under one roof.

This shit store combines the crap of a 99 cent store, cheap furniture and a beauty and supply store. Might as well keep all the shit under one roof.

A while back the Jamaica BID did  a study about the millions of dollars that are lost from quality people who live here but shop, dine and spend their money in other communities. Who would blame them, who would want to shop on Jamaica Avenue, with block after block of extremely cheap, crappy clothing, tons of beauty supplies stores, third world crap retail, cheap furniture stores, crappy food establishments made up of  mostly fast food. With the exception of a very few stores (Fino, Portabella to name just a few), everything is just shit.

???????????????????????????????Then there is the filth factor.  Jamaica is disgustingly dirty thanks to the many low life folks who come to the Ave to buy shit from Pretty Girl and Rainbow to no name stores and 99 cent stores. Quality people have no desire to shop here, yet the powers to be keep on catering to the bottom of the barrel people and they wonder why they are losing so much money and Jamaica looks like a ghetto slum.

This is the REAL Jamaica Revealed. Not too pleasant.

This is the REAL Jamaica Revealed. Not too pleasant.

The powers to be do not even try, because if they did, they would clean the fucking area up, which they have not done. They think that if you just drop a quality store or restaurant in Jamaica, that the people will flock. First off they will not flock to Jamaica because of the filthy third world conditions and second no quality place of business will open in Jamaica with it looking like a shit hole. So asshole powers to be, elected leaders, community board 12 and other leaders, you need to re-think this and get off your asses and do something beside seeing how far up your ass your thumb can go.

Sutphin Blvd. Nothing but shit stores galore.

Sutphin Blvd. Nothing but shit stores galore.

In the meantime, I and others will be very happy to spend our money in other places from Forest Hills, Astoria, Manhattan and parts of Brooklyn.

So yeah, keep kissing those dollars good bye and keep catering to the lowest common denominator, who bring nothing to the table in this community.

Another fucking beauty supply store going to open on Jamaica Avenue right across from a huge beauty supply store already in place. That bring the count up to 10 of these places on Jamaica Ave.

Ghetto only brings ghetto and that is bad news for everyone.

A VOTE FOR COMRIE FOR SENATE IS A VOTE FOR THE SAME SHIT: GARBAGE, CRIME, SHOOTINGS, KILLINGS, ETC.

Twelve Years of Councilman Leroy Comrie and what does Jamaica have to show for it: LOTS OF GARBAGE. Twelve Years of Councilman Leroy Comrie and what does Jamaica have to show for it: LOTS OF GARBAGE.

Twelve Years of Councilman Leroy Comrie and what does Jamaica have to show for it: LOTS OF GARBAGE.

Why would one vote for Leroy Comrie for State Senator when in his long twelve years as councilman in his district, quality of life did not get better and issues such as  the major garbage problem, crime, shootings and every other quality of life issue never was really addressed. As Queens Borough Deputy President, he did even less, he was pretty much getting paid to begin campaigning for Senator.

I mean take a look at an area where he lives and is supposed to represent. How does one justify this?

CROOK SENATOR SMITH AND HIS BUDDY HALLORAN SET TO GO TO TRAIL JUNE 2ND.

Ebony & Ivory jackasses, Smith and Halloran

Ebony & Ivory jackasses, Smith and Halloran

Yes, finally the trial of corrupt Jamaica Senator Malcolm Smith and his equally and stupid buddy Councilman Dan Halloran is set for Monday June 2nd. In a bizarre move, fat white piggy Dan Halloran wants to claim “insanity” because he had a benign brain tumor removed in 2012 (http://nypost.com/2014/05/29/former-councilman-facing-federal-corruption-charges-claims-insanity/). I mean I know the photo below shows Halloran looking like some idiot douche bag, but “insanity”, really. You look stupid, because you are fat white boy.halloran

Councilman Ruben Wills also up on corruptioncharges just recently announced that he is being set up because he is black (http://www.timesledger.com/stories/2014/22/willsresponds_tl_2014_05_30_q.html), so maybe Senator Smith could do a double whammy, a brain tumor and the color of his skin.

These assholes never stop being assholes.

JAMAICA COUNCILMAN MILLER ORGANIZES GUN BUY BACK PROGRAM – SOMETHING THAT DOES NOT WORK

Dowayne Henry. Photo courtesy the Henry family

Dowayne Henry. latest innocent victim of gun violence in Jamaica

With the latest killing of an innocent young black man, Dowayne Henry, on Memorial Day, the first Jamaica leader to speak out is Councilman I. Daneek Miller. His answer, a program that has proven not to stop gun violence at all (it has been done several times already in Jamaica, most recently by crook Senator Malcolm Smith). So how has that been working out here in Jamaica.

I guess you can say he is doing something, but this is the best a leader can come up with. Talk to any higher ranking police officer and they will tell you that Stop & Frisk when done properly in high crime areas such as Jamaica works. But too many of the powers to be want you to believe otherwise because of some of the outrage from people of color, that exact same people who are dealing with such violence.

From DNAinfo:

Jamaica Councilman Organizing Gun Buyback Event to Address Violence

Weapons turned in during a gun buyback organized in Jamaica last year. I can see that this certainly did not stop all the shootings and killing since January 1st.

Weapons turned in during a gun buyback organized in Jamaica last year. I can see that this certainly did not stop all the shootings and killing since January 1st.

QUEENS — A Jamaica councilman is organizing a gun buyback event next week to help stem the rising number of shootings in Southeast Queens.

The program, funded by Councilman Daneek Miller and the City Council, is scheduled for June 7 at Majority Baptist Church on Farmers Boulevard, between 115th Avenue and 115th Road.

“We have gotten off to a bad start in regards to the levels of gun violence that has been seen this year [in] Southeast Queens,” Miller said in an email. “The first murder of 2014 in New York City took place in our community.”

The number of shootings recently increased in Southeast Queens, according to statistics provided by the NYPD.

For the period ending May 18, the number of shootings in the 113th Precinct, which covers South Jamaica and St. Albans, increased by 50 percent — from 10 last year to 15 during the same period this year.

In the 103rd Precinct, which covers Jamaica and Hollis, there were six shootings this year, compared to five incidents during the same period last year, an increase of 20 percent.

“It is vital that we stay ahead of the curve to prevent any further escalation of this violence and work to decrease it,” Miller said. “We need to address this issue so that people do not feel the need to walk around with guns.”

Those who drop off working handguns, shotguns or assault rifles will receive a $200 bank card. For BB guns, they will get a $20 bank card.

Weapons will be accepted with no questions asked.

Miller’s office said the goal is to attract people who live in the area and want to get rid of guns used in the streets of Southeast Queens, as opposed “hunting rifles from upstate.”

The gun buyback program is scheduled for Saturday, June 7, 2014, at Majority Baptist Church, 115-21 Farmers Blvd. in Jamaica, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

____________________________

Oh please Miller, this is the best you can come up with, a program that has proven TO NOT STOP GUN VIOLENCE. Of course one of our useless leaders had to do something, but this.

“It is vital that we stay ahead of the curve to prevent any further
escalation of this violence and work to decrease it,” Miller said.

What a joke, stay ahead of the curve, there is no damn curve Miller, Jamaica is long past that. What a coincidence that Stop and Frisk, which I totally support (and does prove to work) stops and the shootings and killings in Jamaica have since increased. I mean we have drug dealing going on at a deli in your district at 109th and Merrick Blvd and another one on Guy Brewer Rd and 108th just to name a few. I am sure if a few of those clowns hanging out there were stopped and frisked, you would find a gun, which is exactly what happened to one of them at Merrick Blvd/109th. Not only did an individual have a gun, it was a gun that was used in another criminal act.

Then let’s not forget the turf war going on between gangs in that area, The Snow Gang and The Bloods and this is the best you come up with Miller. What we have going on here in Jamaica is very extreme and extreme measures are needed and the Buy Back Gun Program is not it. Do you really think the Snow Gang & The Bloods will be bringing their guns in, what you must think they are pretty damn stupid.

Continue to see more shootings, more killings and more innocent people like Daja Robinson and Dowayne Henry killed before the summer is over in Jamaica,  let alone the year unless the useless leaders come up with something better than this lame program that does not work.

Why does a community of color complain about high crime and all the shootings and killings but yet do not want to see Stop & Frisk. I mean you cannot have it both ways. I mean what is your answer, harsh language. Rev. Flake giving a pep talk at  church. Bumper stickers that say Guns Kill People.

ILLEGAL DONATION CLOTHING BINS YET ANOTHER EYESORE FOR JAMAICA AND QUEENS

???????????????????????????????If you are very observant like I am, you will have noticed a huge amount of various donation clothing bins in various colors (black, green, pink, etc) all over the community, some in front of apartment building, some in the middle of sidewalks and some in parking lots of business. The Goodwill bins are actually going toward the charity Goodwill and more than likely are put there legally. Most of the others (pink, black, green, blue) are placed illegally without approval. With the exception of the Goodwill bins, the clothing from these bins are actually sold, not given to charity, so you might want to think before you put clothing in these bins. Read here http://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/bin-mess-article-1.1585597  and here http://www.brooklynpaper.com/stories/36/22/br_clothingdropscam_2013_05_31_bk.html.???????????????????????????????

These bins are becoming a major eyesore not only in the Jamaica community, but all over NYC and our people in charge are not doing a damn thing about this latest quality of life issue. Besides being eyesores and sometimes blocking sidewalks, they tend to have graffiti and stickers placed all over them and many have garbage dumped on the sides of them. Until recently, the only way to have these removed were to print out a form from the Department of Sanitation’s website and mail in in. Well, now you can just fill-out the form on-line and submit it. You can find the link here http://www.nyc.gov/html/dsny/html/contact/request_collectionbinremoval.shtml

???????????????????????????????So when you see any of these eyesores, click on the link, fill out the information and DOS will tag these bins and have them removed.

Like we do not have enough bullshit to deal with in Jamaica, now we have to add eyesore donation clothing bins to the mix. So where are all of our great local leaders on this issue?

No doubt picking their noses and scratching their asses.ass scratching
