RAZE THAT GARBAGE STREWN LOW-CLASS THIRD WORLD BANGLADESHI SLUM HILLSIDE AVENUE DOWN AND START OVER

Hillside Avenue between Queens Blvd and 170th is a fucking disaster of garbage, litter, crap stores, sidewalks blocked by businesses with those “flag signs” (whatever you call them). This area is disgraceful, yet the city and elected officials do not do a damn thing about this mess.

This is one of the reasons people dislike certain immigrants. This stretch is mostly Bangladeshi establishments and those folks treat this area like some slum in the country that they left.

Crackdown on this bullshit or are you afraid you might lose votes.

A reader sent me this photo this morning. Not only do we have a garbage violation, we have a blocked sidewalk violation as well.

FUCKING SLOBS. You made your country a damn garbage mess, now you want to spread your crap worldwide.

  1. You’ve said it many times in many ways: something like this would’nt be tolerated – for more than a few hours – in any number of other communities in Queens: it’s almost is if the people who live here are comfortable living in trash.
When concerned citizens get involved by reporting the condition via 311 and get a nonsensical response: ‘inspector sent: no condition observed’, and you see the same pile (or the illegally parked dumpsters you posted a few days ago), what message is NYC sending?
The city is telling you effectively: ‘stop bothering us: we see this all the time, this is how you people live, if you don’t give a shit, why should we?’
In other words, they have basically written-off the community.
You don’t see this in Forest Hills, because so many people would voice their outrage, they hold their leaders accountable, and they expect them to ACT on their behalf: to do the jobs they were elected to do.
None of those forces are in play here in Jamaica.
Developers might force some of these improvements, but it looks like its going to be a long road ahead.
