ANOTHER BLOODY MEMORIAL DAY WEEKEND IN JAMAICA, JUST AS I PREDICTED, BUT DID NOT KNOW IT WOULD BE AS HIGH AS IT WAS

Unfortunately my “fishin” trip to very clean, nice, civilized , ghetto less Denver, CO (a strong contender for the place for me to eventually head to) is over. And yep, I knew I was back in disgusting garbage filled, ghetto filled Jamaica. As my car brought me back from JFK, the scenic route of Jamaica Ave was a total disaster of the usual garbage, low-life folks and crap buildings. The downtown section of Jamaica Ave at 6:45am was a complete and utter mess of major amounts of garbage. It is obvious that the Jamaica Now Action Plan is just total bullshit, no doubt about it.

Before I left, I posted that there would be a shooting or killing at some barbecue or family gather in Jamaica/SE Queens area (https://cleanupjamaicaqueens.wordpress.com/2016/05/27/memorial-day-weekend-in-the-hood-sure-there-will-be-a-shooting-or-killing-at-some-barbecue/). And I was wrong on both accounts, there were not killings in Jamaica for the holiday weekend and there was not one shooting. THERE WERE SIX SHOOTINGS, one at a block party (which should be illegal in Jamaica/SE Queens) at 154-02 118th Avenue, an actual nice block near Baisley Park.  A holiday that honors our fine men and women, past and present, who have served our country well, is marred by ghetto thugs running wild in this community. Oh, but let’s not call them “thugs” like Commissioner Bratton did with the shooting and killing last week by a “thug rapper”. I mean why speak the truth. Amazing that Bratton got so much slack from that word, yet the actual killing, no fucking big deal. I would think people in the black community for once and all be tired of this type of crap that is common place in black communities across the country, but let’s look to place blame somewhere else and divert from the issue.

All these shootings in one weekend in one community and yet only one local elected official had anything to say and of course is was just total political bullshit. And the political Jamaica crook, why good old Councilman Rubby Wills. In an utter useless statement, as only a politician (and one who is up on corruption charges) of his caliber can do stated:

“A series of shootings across the city last night, including in my South Jamaica and Richmond Hill district, have bloodied a weekend in which we honor the sacrifices of our armed servicemembers, and many families enjoy the start of summer,” he said. “There is simply no justification for such senseless acts of violence, and they will not be tolerated.”

AND how will they not be tolerated, just by saying that. Shootings are actually up this year compared to last in this community and it is only the beginning of summer. By end of summer, I say there will be 20 more shootings and someone is going to lose two, maybe three brothers, uncles, cousins, friends by the hands of ghetto thugs. BUT, “they will not be tolerated.”

And to not out dumb himself, Wills added:

Wills also discussed June being Gun Violence Awareness Month.“I ask everyone to wear orange on June 2nd to show solidarity for nationwide efforts to promote unity and peaceful alternatives to resolving conflicts,” he said. “Gun-violence has finally gained long deserved recognition as a public health crisis, and improving access to mental health services is equally essential to addressing its root causes.”

Yes, because nothing states action like wearing orange, the color of prison garb. And really are we so out of tune, that we need to have a “Gun Violence Awareness Month“.  All one need to do is not even step outside, but open windows and hear the pop-pop-pop of some ghetto thug shooting someone. And speaking of ghetto thugs, most of these clowns have no jobs, more than likely collect welfare and sucking off the government tit, yet have the money to by a gun, but not support the children they mass produce like hamsters.

Not happy to be back at all, especially to this shit ghetto.

Again, WHERE ARE BLACK LIVES MATTER. Where are all those elected officials who came out to speak to the Muslim community awhile back when two people where attacked in a mosque, you know like de Blasio  or Letitia James?  Where are those same folks, who are front and center when young black man with a gun is shot by a white police officer? Where are all the phony “church leaders” like Rev. “Money Bags” Flake?

Face it. Black Lives Don’t Matter to Black Politicians (and obvious to some black people as well), because they would be busting their ass on the issue as opposed to saying “wear orange.” More like WEAR A BULLET PROOF VEST if you are going to summer it in the hood and especially if it is a summer holiday.

Then, around 9:47 p.m., police responded to a call from Jamaica Hospital Medical Center in regard to a walk-in gunshot victim. According to a police spokesman, the victim was a 20-year-old male from Hempstead, LI, shot in the lower back. The spokesman said that the victim was allegedly “uncooperative” upon questioning.

Two more shootings took place in Southern Queens on Sunday night. Three were left injured after a shooting at 55th Street and 118th Avenue in South Jamaica, at approximately 10:40 p.m.

Soon after, two more people were injured at a shooting at 110th Street in Richmond Hill around 11:10 p.m.

There were no fatalities reported.

Councilman Ruben Wills (D-South Jamaica), issued a statement on Sunday night’s shootings. on Monday.

Southern Queens precincts so far have seen an increase in shooting incidents this year. At this time last year, there were 44 shooting incidents on record, while 48 have been reported so far this year, according to the NYPD’s CompStat.

In his statement addressing Sunday night’s shootings, Wills also discussed June being Gun Violence Awareness Month.

“I ask everyone to wear orange on June 2nd to show solidarity for nationwide efforts to promote unity and peaceful alternatives to resolving conflicts,” he said. “Gun-violence has finally gained long deserved recognition as a public health crisis, and improving access to mental health services is equally essential to addressing its root causes.”

Shootings reveberate across Queens on the weekend

By Madina Toure

As people throughout the country celebrated Memorial Day weekend, the borough started the holiday season with a series of shootings and a collision.

At 11:10 p.m. Sunday, a 21-year-old was shot in the chest and a 27-year-old was shot in his right calf at 91-66 110th St. in Richmond Hill, according to a police spokesman.

Witnesses said there was a dispute and that a man dressed in black fired two shots and fled northbound and that as he was fleeing, additional gunshots could be heard, the spokesman said.

The 21-year-old man was in critical but stable condition, while the other victim was expected to survive his injuries, the official said.

At about 10:40 p.m., police received numerous 911 calls about shots fired at a large block party at 154-02 118th Ave. in Jamaica, according to the police spokesman.

A 29-year-old woman, a 33-year-old woman and a 36-year-old man were shot during the party, the spokesman said.

The victims were taken to Jamaica Hospital by EMS and the detectives were interviewing them, the spokesman continued.

The 29-year-old woman observed a light-skinned man wearing a white T-shirt and jeans coming from 155th Street and shooting with a black pistol, the spokesman added.

She ran to try to escape the gunfire but ended up receiving a grazed wound to the right buttocks, the official said.

Three unoccupied vehicles were also struck by the gunfire, the spokesman said, noting that the investigation was ongoing.

Just 53 minutes earlier, another shooting occurred in Jamaica Houses at 89-00 Van Wyck Expressway, the police spokesman said.

At 9:55 p.m., a man walked into a hospital emergency room with a gunshot wound to the side, the spokesman said.

He was dropped off at the hospital at the front entrance and was taken into surgery to be treated for a gunshot wound that entered his lower right back, the spokesman continued.

His condition was stable, the spokesman added.

The victim was uncooperative with police, giving multiple inconsistent statements and the investigation was ongoing, the official said.

At 2:17 p.m., officers responded to a call of a vehicle accident in the area of 34th Avenue and 91st Street, according to the police.

Upon arrival, officers determined that the first vehicle, a 2005 Toyota Corolla, driven by an 86-year-old man with an 83-year-old female front passenger identified as Jackson Heights resident Amy Huang, was traveling westbound on 34th Avenue approaching the intersection of 91st Street, police said.

At that time, it struck a second vehicle, an unoccupied 2016 Chevrolet parked on the north side of the roadway, police continued.

The collision forced the Chevrolet onto the sidewalk where it then collided with scaffolding before coming to a rest.

EMS responded and took both the Toyota Corolla’s driver and Huang to Elmhurst General Hospital, officials said.

The driver was treated for lacerations to his arm and Huang was pronounced dead at 4:28 p.m. after sustaining serious head and body trauma, police said.

The police spokesman said the first vehicle had the green light.

No arrests have been made and the investigation was ongoing, the spokesman said.

At about 2:05 a.m., an unidentified man jumped in between train cars from a moving southbound F train approximately 400 feet from the Sutphin Boulevard station heading toward the Briarwood station, according to the police spokesman.

He was pronounced dead at the scene at 2:52 a.m. by EMS, the spokesman said.

The case remained open to the 107th Precinct’s Detective Squad as the victim remained unidentified at this time, the official said.

On Saturday, a motorcyclist allegedly opened fire on a car driven by his ex-girlfriend’s boyfriend while the ex-girlfriend and her 18-month-old baby were inside the car, the police spokesman said.

At about 10:55 p.m., officers responded to a call of a man shot on the eastbound Long Island Expressway in the vicinity of Exit 21, the spokesman said.

They found a 25-year-old man with three gunshot wounds to his left arm and he was taken to New York Presbyterian Queens, where he was listed as being in stable condition, the spokesman continued.

The man, along with his girlfriend, a 25-year-old woman and her 18-month-old baby, were approached by the woman’s ex-boyfriend at 37th Avenue in Jackson Heights, the official said.

Her ex-boyfriend exchanged words with her boyfriend and verbally threatened him, prompting the woman and her boyfriend to leave, the spokesman said.

When they got onto the Long Island Expressway, they observed her ex-boyfriend following them on a motorcycle, the spokesman continued.

He allegedly fired at her boyfriend’s vehicle with a .40 caliber firearm, which then struck the motorcycle, the spokesman added.

The motorcycle was recovered but the firearm was not recovered and no one was in custody, he said.
