Jamaica is a garbage blight. A blight that makes Jamaica look even worse than it already is, sends a negative message to all, exposes people to heath issues and is pretty much ignored by our wonderful local elected officials, who I guess see this as the norm for Jamaica. So the status quo continues as well as Jamaica’s reputation for BLIGHT.

Okay some good news. The illegal dumping on 144st was cleaned up, as well as some of it on 94ave. 94ave heading east past Sutphin I still saw a mess. The tree pits on 94ave have been weed whacked. Though, the job they did was half ass, they could’ve made it look nicer. Now for my morning commute today I was this mess under the LIRR along the Van Wyck service road near the corner of Archer ave. There is some gross brown liquid in that container which has labels on it. I wanted to get a picture of the label but I thought this could be hazardous waste and it’s best not to get too close. Illegal dumping around the entrance to Jamaica for all to see. What a way to reinforce people’s negative opinions about this community.
