Deju Vu, why does this sound familiar (https://cleanupjamaicaqueens.wordpress.com/2015/04/03/chronic-illegal-truck-driving-continues-on-residential-street-while-i-am-called-a-chronic-caller-for-reporting-this-chronic-problem/).
Illegal truck driving on residential streets is a CHRONIC PROBLEM, not the person filing the complaint. See the chronic problem is trucks driving ILLEGALLY on residential streets because, well, it is ILLEGAL, plus dangerous, a safety issue and a noise issue. Filing a 311 complaint IS NOT CHRONIC.

CHRONIC TRAFFIC CALL
This is not some made up prank 311 compliant, this is a legitimate CHRONIC issue that is not getting addressed properly by the city, otherwise if it was, I would find no need to file a complaint. That concept is pretty simple, no issue, no complaint. See how that works.
Again, so much for NYC motto, “if you see something suspicious or illegal say something to law enforcement.”
So if you file too many complaints about issues not being properly resolved you are a “chronic caller” or as community activist Pamela Hazel puts it with her complaints of the same old issues not being resolved, “There are many issues that you are ignoring. These issues must be addressed and resolved; they will not evaporate. You have to remove them from your cold case files.”
So let’s see we have the city tell me I am a chronic traffic caller, you have Times Ledger blow off the numerous ongoing quality of life issue complaints from some residents as “Despite occasional grumblings by some locals about the state of things in their neck of the woods” and you have the Queens Borough President’s office dumping Ms. Hazel’s legitimate complaints into the “cold case files.
Might want to let the elderly man whose legs were crushed by a tractor trailer truck, that this issue will be dumped into the cold case file (hell, none of the local media reported on this story) and it just more “occasional grumblings”, so stop complaining about your legs.
Our city government at work, where there is no accountability. In other words, “Taxation without Representation”. I guess that is the Democratic way, especially in Southeast Queens.
