DNAINFO NEW YORK WANTS ME TO TAKE DOWN A PARTICULAR ARTICLE THAT IS ON MY BLOG – I WONDER WHY

bullshit4Back in October I posted a blog about the shooting death of Niheen Donigan in Jamaica where other shootings and criminal activity have taken place and was a few blocks from Rev. Flake Church along with the article that was on DNAInfo New York, which I have put many of their articles on this site since 2013. Now all of a sudden I get an email from Michael Ventura, managing editor, requesting me to take this article down from my blog stating that it cannot be reprinted without their consent.

Funny, because I have posted many of their articles along with many media outlets articles on my blog that I have made comments about the particular stories, yet never once  had DNAInfo said anything in the past. So why this particular post which seemed to have gotten many folks in that area upset, there were many comments on the post, plus tons of outrage on the Clean Up Jamaica Facebook page, so why? Does it have anything to do with Flakes being named in it, I have had said much about Flake before. So what is this issue with DNAInfo.
Of course until some legal action (if there is any),  shit does not come down from this blog.

I find this interesting, since many of their articles have been on here and this article is from October, so what is the issue. Interesting. Seems like some of the media is all of a sudden is becoming sensitive to Clean Up Jamaica Queens. Well, you know what DNAInfo New York, take a fucking number. Should be lucky some of us even read some of your shitty stories that pass for journalism.

And also a few Queens media outlets would not publish some of my comments on their stories and the Times Ledger awhile back talked about “some people”  in Jamaica’s “rants and occasional ramblings:

Despite occasional grumblings by some locals about the state of things in their neck of the woods, the Jameco Exchange folks have taken a positive attitude, drawing inspiration from the retail vernacular of their two-story storefront and the cobblestone pedestrian mall in which it is situated, as well as the social culture of Jamaica Avenue and the histories of the community.
Who really gives a flying fuck. Well, at least I know people are reading this blog.

  1. Joe, tell this ignorant DNApress moron about the concept of “fair use” in copyright matters. You’re blog commentary is on legal footing.

See the extensive Wikipedia article on this legal issue:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fair_use

    From the article:

Examples of fair use in United States copyright law include commentary, search engines, criticism, parody, news reporting, research, and scholarship.

    Excelsior.

    • BTW If you need the name of a “tiger with teeth” copyright lawyer, I can supply you with one who’s top dog in his field. (I used him once and scored big Gabeesh?.) He’s dying to sue for big bucks idiots like that DNA dope.

  2. DNA info, is a joke and has a horrible name to boot, I commented about that site before here and was chastised by another reader, but this petty little threat just confirms my opinion about their shoddy reporting and clearly the thin skins of their editorial staff.

It’s the web news version of the metro and amny papers, condensed versions of the real newspapers stories, which isn’t much different than what you do here or any various other major websites like buzzfeed and gothamist (as well as their other city-ist sites)

Keep it up. Certain lowlife people are running scared.
