March 4th I filed a 311 complaint for a black vehicle with an NYPD decal on the dash that had been blocking a fire hydrant for a couple of days. The response was “no observable violation” or “fixed” even though vehicle was still there. One week goes by, still, there, more filed complaints, same response.

It did disappear for a day, only to return again and this time I noticed smashed headlights, pulled out wheel well, long scratches on side. This time the vehicle has been sitting for another week and this time besides blocking the fire hydrant, the back wheel is up on the sidewalk. More 311 filed complaints and more “no observable violation” .

Headlight is smashed, but hard to see in photo.

AND the most recent 311 filed just this morning came back as;

So what is the deal, is the NYPD decal fake or real (not that it matters). Why are several complaints not being properly addressed. Why last Saturday some NYPD foot traffic knucklehead with give me attitude when I mentioned the vehicle which was two blocks from him and then he ignored me all together and crossed the street.

The problem is our society is different set of rules for different folks.

While douchebag Councilman Ruben Wills keeps not showing up for the third time in his corruption trial, you and I would have had folks banging on our doors hauling our asses off if we missed one court appearance.  AND if this was my vehicle or one you you regular folks reading this, it would have been ticketed, booted and towed. And I doubt this would be taking place in Forest Hills which has its own set of rules, like no truck driving illegally on residential streets, while this asshole truck driver do what the hell they want in Jamaica.

Really, you would be better off doing this in another area, instead of my immediate area, because you know I will take photos and keep filing complaints and you will continue to have to go through the motions. I can keep this all for a long time. But bottom line, THIS IS COMPLETE BULLSHIT.

  1. I would suggest sending these to all local news stations ad nauseum, but the local news these days would rather inform the public of the hottest spots to live in Brooklyn or what cup designs starbucks are using (the latter is serious, while channel flipping fox, pix and cbs did a “report” on this pablum).

    Not that this journalistic negligence should dissuade you. Take the fictional case of Andy Dufresne.
