Welcome to Rufus King Park. What a disaster! The people living in this community should be ashamed of themselves! No pride, dignity, or self respect!

  1. Unfrigginbelievable.

Not to condone some of the park goers or park dwellers behavior, but it looks like the park does not have a sufficient amount of receptacles.

I am not surprise by the filth by the handball courts, that’s a common sight in every park.

    • Let’s face it, the park could have 100 cans within 1 foot of each other and these slobs would still toss their crap, that is just how too many of these people in Jamaica are. The day before those photos, the park had 50 volunteers cleaning the entire park. Ghetto slobs will continue to be ghetto slobs until they are fined for their uncivilized behavior.

  2. Ergo the problem, when the city produces a big event and arranges some non-profit group to come down, that’s when things get done. Maybe if the parks dept weren’t so concerned with event planning they can direct funding for more cans, a few maintenance workers and deploy a few park police until the problematic people stops polluting.

For all the attention and the hyper development going on the dirty southeast, it’s funny how the same blight and nonsense still persists.

  3. What group was it that cleaned the park the day before? I sense another cleanup will be necessary. Honestly the park just looks dingy af; I can see that some pavement needs to be redone and better benches and seating. Anyway, This really is symbolic of a tale of two cities. In the same area, you have tons of development happening to attract the upper class, and next door, the same blight that’s been going on for years. And I don’t hear about any of our elected officials trying to do anything about this. JQ LLC your ideas are spot on, if only we could get an elected official that doesn’t kiss ass and is willing to fight for funding to implement such a wonderful plan. Who knows, maybe I’ll run for office someday. Lol
